Crispy Layered Mince Pie

Instructions

Put the flour, first measure of water, eggs and 1tspn salt into a food processor and process. Form a dough and leave to rest for 30 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll each piece out to the size of a dinner plate.

Heat some oil in a pan and shallow fry each piece on both side and set aside.

Chop the onions and fry in the butter until softened, add the mince and continue cooking for 3-4 more minutes.

Add the tomatoes, chopped parsley, 1 tspn salt, 0.5 tspn pepper and paprika flakes and mix in well.

Place one of the fried pastries onto an ovenproof round cake tin and layer with the meat mixture.

Repeat the process ending in a pastry.

Slowly pour the second measure of water or meat stock and place the pie in the oven.

Bake for 20 minutes at 180.

Serve hot.
